MONROE, La. — The ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ Wind Ensemble will present their final performance of the semester on Thursday
at 7:30 pm in Brown Theater.Â
The Wind Ensemble is comprised of the finest student musicians on campus and is conducted
by Dr. Derle R. Long, Director of ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½â€™s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA). Guest conductor
for this concert is Dr. Jason Rinehart, Assistant Director of Bands and Director of
Athletic Bands at ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½. There is no admission charge for this performance.
The repertoire selected for this performance includes Head Rush by ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ alum Jay Bocook, Symphony for Band by Vincent Persichetti, Festive Overture by Dimitri Shostakovich, and Variations on a Hymn by Louis Bourgeois by Claude T. Smith.Â
