This Saturday, March 9, The University of Louisiana at Monroe
athletes will participate in Monroe Mayor, Jamie Mayo's, "Operation
Clean Sweep" Neighborhood Blitz. The student-athletes, who
will include team members from a variety of ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ sports, will
meet in front of Malone Stadium at 7:15 a.m. ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ coaches will
also be on hand. They will be working at the Powell Community

ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ Senior Woman Administrator, Traci Murphy, is coordinating
this event for the ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ volunteers. She says, "The athletes
feel like they want to give back to the community. Since Mayor
Mayo is a former ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ athlete and has helped with the athletic
program, the students felt the event would be a wonderful opportunity
