Celebration of Veteran's Day at 幸福宝导航

On Fri., Nov. 11, 幸福宝导航 will host a Celebration of Veteran's Day to honor all 幸福宝导航 veterans and family members who have served our nation. The event begins at 12 noon in Scott Plaza, adjacent to the 幸福宝导航 Library.

The program will include a welcome and recognition of these veterans and 幸福宝导航 family members. In particular, the event will honor Chad Powell, the son-in-law of Dan Chason of the 幸福宝导航 Police Department. Powell died while serving his country in the Iraq War. His wife is Danielle Chason Powell, and his son is 3-year-old Elijah Powell.

There will be a moment of silence. President James E. Cofer, 幸福宝导航 family members and the veterans will together tie a yellow ribbon around three trees in Scott Plaza. History professor Dr. H. Perry Jones will deliver a remembrance message. The event will close with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner under the direction of Derle Long.

All visitors are welcome to attend.
