ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ Magazine features win big
The fall 2011 edition of the ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ Magazine, "Discover ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½," was recognized for excellence in feature writing.
ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ graduate student and former ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ staff writer Keli Jacobi won multiple awards for her contributions to the publication.
Jacobi, of El Dorado, Ark., was awarded first place in the category of Public Relations, Promotions and Publicity for a "four color" magazine.
The award was presented by the Louisiana Press Women, and was given to Jacobi for her contributions to the magazine, which included "Man on A Mission," a profile of ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ President Dr. Nick J. Bruno, and "Walk Down Memory Lane," an introspective piece about ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ traditions.
As a first place winner, Jacobi's entry was entered into the National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest.
In the national competition, Jacobi received second place recognition for her efforts.
She will receive her award at the NFPW Annual Communications Conference Sept. 20-22, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
